PROFILING  AND STYLE
All are Staunton models, aesthetically profiled with variations from model to model. 

FINISH
Wood sets coming from India are wax polished.  Wax finish has short life resulting in accumulation of dirt and dust on the surface.  However, wax finish is cheap and preferred for economy models as the model has short life.

We recommend durable coatings for all premium models.  It is strong and such sets can be cleaned with wet cloth.  In case you tap the pieces, you will get a metallic echo feel which is reflecting the strength of the coating.  The pieces are properly seasoned before applying the coating. 

We can provide gloss, semi gloss or mat finish depending on the choice of the customer.

1. STANDARD WOOD SET
   
   It is an international design with an abstract Knight very popular and sturdy. It can be subjected to rough use. Generally wax finish is given; but can go for durable coating which increases the price by about a dollar.
   
   
2. STANDEARD WOOD SET –WITH IMPROVED PROFILE.
   
   It is better profiled with medium base height. It has a bigger base (38mm) dia compared to the normal standard set (35mm). It has profiling comparable to premium set but made sturdy to avoid damages in rough use. It follows a straight head abstract Knight. It is made out to be a break from the conventional standard design.
   
   
3. CLASSIC DESIGN -42mm BASE, 96mm KH
   
   This is a better profiled conventional/traditional premium set with detailed profiling. It has a descriptive Knight but made to avoid easy damage It has broad but bulby base. With poly coating, the model is durable and more attractive.
   
   
4. LOW BASE MODEL – 4Knight design.
   
   It has broad and low base. This will avoid tilting of the pieces. With low base the set gives more roomy space on the playing surface which can facilitate thinking process. It has a detailed Knight design.
   
   It is modeled on the lines of our premium plastic set.
   
   
5. BROAD BASED GENIUS SET
   
   It is replica of our broad based plastic set of 45mm base, 96mm KH. It has a bigger bulby base.
